Presented by SASSAS www.sassas.org (The Society for the Activation of Social Space through Art and Sound), in collaboration with the Mak Center, as part of the series, sound. at the Schindler House, July 23rd, 2011, this one-hour performance includes 8 songs and ten performers. It represents approximately ten years of work.
It accompanies the publication of The Stephanie Taylor Songbook, Ood Press, Rio, www.oodpress.net comprised of the 8 scores to be performed.
While SASSAS is able to pay me a $500 fee and cover the production costs of the concert, they are unable to underwrite rehearsal and performance fees for the number of vocalists and musicians needed to realize all 8 songs. All money raised will be used to pay vocalists and musicians for both rehearsals and performances.
