Welcome to Sunland Pharmacy. In the vein of "The Office" meets
"Scrubs,""Hard to Swallow" is a comedic webseries based on the happenings
of a small town Pharmacy. But with more drama than any Bravo’s Housewives,
it's a wonder this tempestuous workplace can even fill a prescription.
About 10 years ago writer/actress Jenn Fee's high school job was working
the front counter at “702 Pharmacy”. While working there she was inspired
to create a show loosely based on the events that occurred.
In 2009, “Hard to Swallow” was born!
The pilot created a fan base, was featured on the front page of
FunnyorDie, accepted into film festivals and (more importantly) received A
TON of supportive e-mails from the pharmaceutical community. Many
individuals have applauded the show because it showcases a part of the
health industry that most media’s have ignored.
Owner/former boss/friend Greg Kurtz opened his doors to 702 Pharmacy and
let production shoot the pilot episode. We used parents as production
assistance, mothers as caterers and grandmothers as extras. However, love
doesn’t pay for gas, camera equipment, food and hotel fees...
That’s why we are on Kickstarter. (However, if we don't meet our goal than we don't receive any of the money...)
We have episodes written and fans waiting for the rest of the series but
we need your help! ANY CONTRIBUTION IS MUCH APPRECIATED! The more we raise, the more episodes we can shoot!

Jenn Fee and Michelle Lang joined forces to create Hard to Swallow in 2009 after running in the same LA acting circle for years. Together the girls have a variety of TV and film credits, including: 7th Heaven, Friends with Money, Disaster Movie, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Side Order of Life, Vampires Suck, Star Trek, Reno 911: Miami and The Legend of Bruce Lee, just to name a few.
