We've launched an exciting new project of our own! Introducing the Kickstarter app for iPhone!

Funded! This project successfully raised its funding goal on January 28, 2012.

Photo-main

200 Deployed Days, 10 Deployed Marines, 10 Cameras, 2000 Pictures Telling a story!

Deployment Faces

Deployment Faces is an idea that I thought about.  I was brainstorming about what could help keep us Marines occupied; to help combat boredom while we are in Afghanistan. The goal of Deployed Faces is to make a photo diary of ten Marines and how they change both emotionally and physically while on deployment.  Each will take a daily photo of their face. With the 2000 pictures taken, a time-lapse video will be made showing the changes in a Marine over an seven month long deployment in Afghanistan.   The first photo will be taken the morning that we board our plane in route to Afghanistan, and our last photo will be taken upon returning home to the United States. The entire idea behind the project is to show how deployed Marines change over an entire deployment.  There are a lot of emotions you can see in a face.  We have a goal to continue this beyond this particular deployment and to have an entire webpage full of photo time-lapse photo diaries of future deployments!  This is a great way for the Marines to express themselves, as well as to help others understand more about deployment.

We would like YOU to help us launch this photo project!  You will be able to score some pretty awesome awards, as listed to the right! This funding would go towards building a website, so that everyone can keep up to date on what we’re working on, and view our photo project.  Also, we need to purchase a small amount of photography equipment in order to insure every Marine is able to take a minimum of one picture per day. Lastly, we need to pay our graphic designer for all his hard work!

Here are just a few of the shirts we have been working on for some of the awards! We would love to hear your thoughts.

We hope that you love our project and help support us!  We love it, and it means a lot to us!  We want to say thank you for taking the time to read our page.  Please pass Deployment Faces onto your friends and family, if we do not reach our goal we get ZERO. So please spread the word.

I also want to say thank you to our graphic designer Eric Stanley.
