Hello Backers!

We just got word that "without" has been selected for the 2012 SAFILM Fest in San Antonio, Texas! It's super-exciting to get to share our film with another festival audience. The experience of screening the film at Phoenix Film Festival back in April exceeded even our best expectations. We had two screenings out in Phoenix, the first of which was to a sold-out theater! Phoenix really knows how to throw a festival and provides an unbelievable environment for the film makers. I also had the chance to see a ton of spectacular films and meet a ton of really great people (and possibly future collaborators!) And we're expecting similar great opportunities in San Antonio. 

The SAFILM Fest runs from Jun 18-24 and we are part of the Shorts II block which screens once on Thursday, the 21st, from 7-9pm at the Santikos Palladium Theater and again on the 22nd from 3-5pm at the Bijou Cinema Bistro. 

Our joy over bringing this film to another festival is magnified by the fact that all of you believed in this project enough to donate your time, energy and hard earned money to help us achieve this festival run. We will never be able to thank you enough. However, what we can do is get you all of your wonderful incentive packages! The Best Part team is working diligently to get all of the incentives  together and ready to ship. You will be getting emails soon asking for some additional information so we can send you your well deserved rewards. If all goes according plan, you should start to receive goodies in June.

You're the best, AROUND!

Just got word last night that "without" has been selected to the 2012 Phoenix Film Fest in Arizona! This is something we wouldn't have been able to do without your help and funding. Thank you thank you, a hundred times! 

This is super-exciting news to receive, and we're all kind of on cloud 9. Now starts the process of getting the press kit finalized and preparing the film for transfer to it's exhibition format. 

In other news, the Digital downloads of the theme music from the films should be ready and sent out to you guys within a week or so. Working on finalizing the mastering on them. Thanks again!

GUYS!!!! WE'VE DONE IT!!! By all of us banding together we have reached our goal!!! Incredible!

I speak for everybody over here on the Best Part Productions team when I say that we are all completely beside ourselves right now. Thank you so much for all that you've done to help make this project a reality. These films will now have the chance at a REALLY incredible festival run. 

And you know what?!? We have still have a full day left in this Kickstarter campaign and one gloriously terrific thing about Kickstarter is that they let you raise above your goal! 

Please continue to push and spread the word for the next 24 hours…we may be able to keep going and add a few more festivals to the list, or make a couple more exhibition prints!

Wow...We made a challenge this morning to push to $5,000 by lunch time, and we promised a treat if we got there. You all blew us away with your support, and we've pushed to $5,333 with 27 hours left to go! You guys are all rock stars, and speaking of rock stars...

These projects were all about collaborating with super talented people. One such person that we have the privilege to work with is local musician, Rae Hering. She wrote and performed all the music from "without."
