A film festival being put together by the George Mason Chapter of the Secular Student Alliance. It will have pizza and movies.
The George Mason chapter of the Secular Student Alliance is planning to throw a film festival at the beginning of the 2012-2013 film festival in order to attract new members and give our current members an opportunity to socialize. Pizza will be served and movies will be shown. The event will take place on August 26 from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm in the JC Cinema. Money donated will be used to pay for pizza, get the licenses to show the movies in public, and pay to setup for the event. Movies shown will be Intelligent Design on Trial and The God Who Wasn't There.

According to the SSA's website "The Secular Student Alliance is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit. We work to organize and empower nonreligious students around the country. Our primary goal is to foster successful grassroots campus groups which provide a welcoming community for secular students to discuss their views and promote their secular values."

No it doesn't. Those prices are only for films shown by the Program Board.

The national organization's website is secularstudents.org. The George Mason Chapter doesn't have a website, but we do have a facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/groups/225559837461651/.

We're currently in the middle of deciding. We're looking into a wide variety of options including Atheism: A Brief History of Disbelief, Intelligent Design on Trial, and The God Who Wasn't There. If those three don't work out we have a pair of movies we can order from a distributor whose really picky about us not announcing what movies we're going to order from them.
-
If our fundraising is slightly more than we need, we can compensate by putting more money into advertising and having better catering. If the generosity of the secular community is extreme enough, we will use the excess money to start preparing for next year's Film Festival of the Godless.

Since I don't know where you're starting from I can't tell you how to get from where you are to the Johnson Center. Fortunately, Google Maps knows the answer, just type Johnson Center, Fairfax, VA as your destination and follow the instructions. Once you're in the Johnson Center go down the stairs to the bottom floor and the cinema will be twenty feet from the bottom of the stairs.
