The completion of a dark comedy, seven years in the making, of letters, loves, and how soul mates make the strangest of bedfellows.
Thank you one and all for helping us hit our goal at the 54th hour.
We will still be live and rolling until January 15th at midnight. So if there are more who would love to be part of this tribe then join in. All are welcome.

the plot
Rabbit Stories is a feature length dark comedy that is comprised of three short films that happen simultaneously and are connected by a bad poem about a rabbit.
~ the chicken or the egg ~ Meet Ted and Kate, a miserable suburban couple who's marriage implodes whilst battling for the affections of a secondhand motorcycle.
~ the story of mac ~ Meet Mac and Lila who fall in love through plexiglas as Mac counts his days on death row.
~ in the backyard of his holi vrindavin ~ Now meet Nadine, who endures a torturous and ridiculous spiritual purification process by ashram cult members in hopes of settling an old score with her long lost father...the cult leader.
Love is painful, beautiful, heart-wrenching, life-altering but mostly…love is weird.
the plot thickens
The making of Rabbit Stories is practically a film within itself. It took a year to develop the script, four years to shoot and two years to edit. There were three cinematographers (one per section), two production designers, one awesome costume designer who lives on the opposite coast, four editors, and one choreographer. We had ten lead characters, over a hundred extras and supporting roles including a biker gang, death row inmates, and loyal devotees and used close to 40 locations from NYC to North Haven, Connecticut. When you have little money you make up for it with time. And in the end, it will have taken seven years to complete this film.
the conflict
Being that Rabbit Stories is almost totally self-financed, the well has finally run dry and the cupboards are bare. And we need to finish the last of post-productions that is mainly...SOUND. Sound design, editing, mixing, foley, ADR, score, music rights, musicians for score...you get the picture. Studio time is expensive, sound designer's time and expertise is expensive and musicians need to be paid for a job well done.
the resolution
That's you.
By now you know how Kickstarter works. But if not, I'll reiterate: This is an all or nothing deal. We need $10,000.00 to complete this little engine that could. And we either hit that goal or get nothing. Just look to your right on the screen and scroll down to see the list of gifts that we offer.
Our own Susanna Raeven, who embodied the role of Nadine Weinstein, has a full organic skin care line. She will be making a limited edition of "Rabbit Stories" lip balm that everyone needs for the coming cold months.
Leo Gibran, the amazing Brazillian illustrator and cartoonist has designed a "Rabbit Stories" t-shirt and canvas tote bag. Check out this artist's brilliant work by clicking below.
Recording artist Scott Matthew is offering a personally autographed CD which contains the song "Amputee" from the film. You can hear his song "Ornament" in our Kickstarter video as well.
And EVERYONE, no matter what size of your contribution, will have their name listed in the credits.
