About this project

Plot:
Even though he's a programmer for Virtual Vision Network, Adam Porter never wonders how it all works. He knows that virtual vision offers subscribers a variety of premium channels with which to view the world. But going off-line always brings a return to normal, everyday life until a head injury puts his receiver on the fritz, revealing a post-apocalyptic world that Adam has never seen before. Adam is forced to question what is real and what is an illusion. With Network cops dogging his every move, Adam goes on the run and stumbles upon the Actual Reality Underground where he joins a band of Eco-guerrillas in a plan to blow up the virtual vision transmitters and force the population back to the actual reality they don't even know exists.

Our Goal:
I am an experienced documentary maker who is creating a test scene of a movie called Reality Crash. It's based on the novel by Cyd Ropp and Lou Grantt (http://www.amazon.com/Reality-Crash-Cyd-Ropp/dp/0615263267). The book's authors have agreed to option the script to me for 6 months to make this test scene to see if they would like me to make the feature length film. Composer Suzannah Doyle (whose work has appeared worldwide in productions such as "The Martha Stewart Show", numerous Public Broadcasting shows and movies, and the upcoming documentary about "Stones Into Schools") has agreed to create the musical score for both the demo scene and the full film.

I love the idea of taking my filmmaking to a new level and collaborating with a diverse array of disciplines within the filmmaking world. This movie would require high end special effects and matte paintings to capture the future post-apocalyptic scene-scape of the story. We will select one scene from the script that gives a compelling example or our creative vision and technical expertise for the consideration of the writers and potential investors. And you can help by pledging funds to help bring this project to fruition!

Note: We will be using the Red One Camera on this project and looking to put out a 2k version to hit the Independent film circuit by storm.

Thank you for considering helping us bring Reality Crash to fruition!
