New funding goal, same purpose! Help Lauren reach her goal so she can record her new songs for her new EP!

You may have seen this project before! We didn't reach our goal last time but after speaking with our producer, he believes in Lauren so much that he is going to work entirely on spec. The money pledged here will be just for the musicians, studio time, and the engineers time. And hey if any money is left over, maybe we can throw a bit his way for time and effort. :-)

Lauren has spent the past year writing for her newest EP and has finally picked the songs she wants to record with the help of her producer friend and co-writer Steffon Hamulak. The only problem is she now needs the money to go into the studio and record, mix, and master these AMAZING songs she wants to share with you all! Please help her achieve her goal and I promise you, you won't be disappointed!!!

About Lauren Winans

Lauren Winans lives for the spotlight, and the spotlight lives for her. Just ask anyone from this West Virginia native's hometown. Chances are, at some point in her youth, they've seen her perform Britney Spears songs, complete with dance routines, either at school recess or on the stage her Dad built in their backyard. They really didn't have a choice, she literally chased everyone down and made them all watch.

These days, full of the same determination, Lauren continues to shine. She engages audiences at venues throughout her home state and beyond and connects with her core fan-base effortlessly by singing songs that speak to and empower young women everywhere.

Lauren's artistry across the board is full of high-energy and sparkle. In fact, just so we're clear, If Lauren can bedazzle something, she does. If there is something made with leopard print, she owns it. If there's a way to leave her audience smiling and talking about something they've never seen or heard before, she will find it and do it. Lauren continuously pushes the entertainment envelope.

Still, much like one cannot judge a book by its cover, it would be unfair to simply see Lauren for her style and artistry. Lauren has a lot to say and is a well polished songwriter. She currently writes with accomplished pop songsters in both Nashville and Los Angeles. Although she truly loves all her creations, many of which show off her sassy, edgy nature and attitude, Lauren's favorite song to date is will always be the one she wrote to pass tenth grade algebra.

Uniquely inventive with her music, forever putting her fans first, and born to entertain, Lauren Winans is poised to be a pop sensation.

BUCKHANNON - A Buckhannon woman is making a name for herself in the music industry.

Lauren Winans started in country music, but found that Pop Music was more her style.

Winans travels back and forth from Buckhannon to Nashville.

Winans said she writes three or four times a week with publishing companies because her songs have a better chance of getting recorded by another artist. She also loves to sing.

Winans was selected to do a show at Whiskey Jam, a place for artists to go sing. She will also sing at the Country Music Marathon at Titan Stadium, which will benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital.

She's also been writing music with a guy who works with big stars like Katy Perry.

She even recorded the national anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Winans said she enjoys the work.

"That's really exciting to be able to connect my name with someone near her, and that kind of stuff, and everyday is just new day you never know what's going to happen, you never know who's going to call you," Winans said.

Winans has started a blog called "Couponing in Heels" to help people save money.

She's also raising money for no kill animal shelters.
