Boise Dance Co-Op is a new dance collaborative comprised of professional dancers and artists from companies around the Treasure Valley, including Ballet Idaho, Idaho Dance Theatre, Off Center Dance and Trey McIntyre Project.

Dance careers can be short and when performance seasons end each year, dancers in Boise have few opportunities to grow their talents and share them with the Treasure Valley community. BDC was founded as an outlet for professional dancers to explore and evolve their art and work with their peers in exciting new ways.

Funding will help secure technical aspects of BDC’s inaugural public performance on August 4th. As with any performing arts organization, it is vital to pay for lighting, costuming, live music, rehearsal and performance space, lighting designers, stage managers, choreographers and dancers. BDC dancers and contributors are professional artists and your support will ensure a high-quality cultural experience for both performers and audience.

Boise is often cited as one of the country’s best cities to live in. By providing an outlet for professional dancers to continually hone their craft and share their love of dance, BDC’s goal is to contribute to the thriving arts community that makes this place so great.
