We need the money for production costs, specially in China. Flight tickets, film crew in China, housing etc.
One day last year Peder called me to say that he’s got malignant mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer which develops from exposure to asbestos. The doctors had told him that this form of cancer is incurable.
Peder is 60 years old and lives on a remote island in northern Sweden, working as a ferryman. Since his diagnosis, he has undergone four chemotherapy treatments in an effort to stop the cancer from spreading. But the last treatments haven't helped at all. There was an option to surgically remove one lung and part of the heart sac, but now the tumours has grown too big. For Peder, the only option now is to go the alternative route. He has read in articles and heard from other survivors that chemotherapy actually is not the way to survive this cancer. He believe that he has to strengthen his immune system to be able to get rid of the disease. For this reason, with help of different kinds of alternative medicine, Peder has decided to challenge the disease by going to China to get help through Traditional Chinese Medicine.
This film will follow Peder in his struggle to beat the disease.
With the funds we get through Kickstarter, we will go with Peder to China, this year in the beginning of October, to complete the film about his life. I will make video updates of his life on the Kickstarter page. In the end we will make a one-hour documentary.

We are partly based in Washington DC and Stockholm in Sweden. I (Petter) have been working with documentary's in Sweden, Mexico and in China. After two years in China I'm back in Sweden to dedicate a big part of my life in this project.
