The Badhand movie project began with a desire to make a cool little short with the resources we were able to get our hands on. Suddenly it became clear that we'd been given an incredible opportunity to make something special here in Buffalo. When all of a sudden, what we began shooting as a short, had some how grown up and into a full-length feature film project endeavor, without any one of us designing a budget plan or raising a single dollar.
Yet somehow we pressed on and on and now, with nearly half the film in the can, and shooting on hold until March, our main goal and focus has suddenly become the budget. More specifically raising enough money between now and then, so that when we do resume shooting, we can pay for the public liability insurance, which is needed in order to receive city issued permits, as well as the fullest extent of municipality support that comes along with it.
After which, any remaining funds would be used to cover all other general production costs and expenses. Like the hiring of a few extra professional hands to help carry the project through the end of it's production. Where upon it's compilation, it'll be prepared and readied for screening in both festivals as well as in Buffalo as part of its official premiering.
