Update #11: warning James

Posted on April 3, 2010

Watch this video I guess, if you have time.
Also if you've got photos or video of you dropping off trash art I want them!!
I never counted but that's around half the paintings I'm standing next to.
many were already on the road when I took this picture.
comments always welcome.
thanks again everyone.

I tried to upload 30 pictures, but I could be off by one or two. Only ten percent of the paintings I did for the project. Hope you like them.

Very nice collection. I like so many of them, but my favorite might be the space bear.

One of mine made it in the 10%! I received mine and they are great. I can't wait to put them somewhere in public to share it with Boulder, Colorado.

Update #8: Almost there

Posted on March 7, 2010

By my calculations I'm in the Mid two eighties as far as paintings goes. So it's feeling like I'm really really going to make it. Still don't have Phil Boltz address, but I guess he'll give it to me when he's 'good and ready'. I made a little video that is uploading as I type. Feel free to check it out. If you've got friends that want to get in on some paintings, I've got lots of extras, email me and we can work something out. Thanks again to everyone who advertised for me and supported me. It's been really fun doing 300 paintings in so short a time, for sure the most paintings I've done in so short a time. My sister heard about a lady painting and selling a painting a day for 100 days. the first painting costs a dollar and the last one 100 dollars. what do you guys think should I give it a try one of these years? A painting a day is no problem after doing 300 in 3 months. But for the time being I'm to busy to try something new. Have to do the premium paintings for the high levels next. And I applied to be in the Three Rivers Arts Festivals this summer. I lot to keep me productive for the time being!

That is an awesome tower of Clohn Art! The days are getting longer and nicer in the southwest; it's gotta be getting close to time to release my pieces into the wild. Super excited that you've made such great progress! Three cheers for kick*ss kick started art. thanks for the update.

Must start thinking how this will go down... looking forward to finding some cool spots to leave these.

Oh, and nice beard. You definitely got all the facial hair mojo. ;-)

Update #7: 262 Give or take

Posted on March 4, 2010

I don't know if you could call my count scientific or not. But that's what I counted. 262. Yesterday. Thanks to my kind mother in law doing some extra baby sitting (not literally) I've gotten a lot done lately. Things being less busy at work have helped too. I've been trying to make another video but no luck there yet. I also plan to send out everybody's paintings this weekend. Not the $220 and $500 level paintings (those aren't finished yet). but the cardboard paints to pass out and keep. I've got like 7 packages all addressed, taped and ready to go. Which isn't that many considering I've got 42 backers most of whom get actual art. So I might not make my Saturday goal. I've still got 38 paintings to do by the 16th and that seems more important to me. Some haven't given me their address yet, so get on that! and some of you I have TX addresses and I'm pretty sure you now live in Canada so I might need an updated international address from them.

PS if you're not a backer and you want to jump on the band wagon drop me a line, I've got extra art we can work something out. I'd like to hit more places in my 300 painting mass drop.

You will become my patron. I will work as an artist full time for 5 months. I think maybe a 50/50 split would be fair enough. what do you think? So of everything I make you can have half and I'll keep and sell the other half. Great opportunity to became a Theo to my Vincent, sure it may take a while to pay off, but in the end it will be well worth your while, who knows maybe one day I'll cut my ear off, I'm not planning on it mind you, but anything could happen. (this 5 months would need to happen a few years in the future, maybe we could put the ten K in some kind of trust fund until then.
