The main purpose of this project is to shed light on a city that is often viewed from the ground in a state of decay.  In life, usually you consider a problem from numerous different angles before you make a judgement.  The way something looks sitting down may be different from how it looks standing up.  Now imagine looking at a city from eye-level, and seeing the small picture in front of your eyes.  Compare that to what the birds see, the bigger picture.  Cities From The Sky is a way to see the bigger picture, to imagine the possibilities, and to let your judgement go.  This project will provide you with a book of 50-100 of the most beautiful images of Detroit ever produced.  Eventually the goal is to complete a book for every major metropolitan area in the United States.  Detroit isn't the only city that needs a fresh view, there are cities all over the country that could use a second look from a couple thousand feet in the air to show the real underlaying beauty below.  My hope is for Cities From The Sky to help shape new opinions, and give new life to struggling cities.
