My name is Dave Chisholm. Over the summer, I've been recording an album of original music with a few friends of mine. This album is called "Calligraphy." (Now would be an excellent time to watch me awkwardly talk about the album on the above video!)
The musicians on the album are:

Aaron Staebell - Drums
Ben Tiberio - Bass
Dave Chisholm - Trumpet
"Calligraphy" combines elements of indie rock, film score, and improvisation into a lush musical canopy. Inspired by the lyrical and atmospheric works of Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, and Miles Davis, "Calligraphy" will seep into your skin and become a part of your soul. Yes, it sounds corny and possibly ridiculous, but seriously... I know you are going to love this album. This music is from my heart--the closest thing to the sounds inside of my head that I've ever put together.
The cool thing is that the album is 100% recorded and mixed. The clips you hear on the above video are FROM THE ACTUAL ALBUM (watch the video again if you want).

Our goal is to raise $1700 by FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 at 9:00pm EST. This money will help offset costs of mastering and duplication of the physical CD's. I have set up a number of incentives for your generosity, including digital pre-releases of the album, access to live mp3's and movies of the band, artwork, trumpet/composition lessons from me, hand-drawn t-shirts, and more.
Normally, I would fund this myself, but since starting work on my Doctorate at the Eastman School of Music, funds for projects like this one have grown slim!
Like every Kickstarter venture, this is an all-or-nothing project. If we don't raise the money by the above date, we don't get anything and the project will have to be delayed.
