Kay is a college student who's passions are music and the arts, which probably makes her wacky enough... but there is also her best friend - a skeleton no one else can see, named P. 

Kay and P is the brain-child of artist Jackie Musto - a fanciful romp in the life of what would be a normal girl, Kay - if not for her best friend being a skeleton, of course. Part college/real world frustrations, and partly mysterious circumstances, we get to follow Kay as she navigates the world in her own personal way. P is her guide and friend, trying to steer her in the direction of a happy and well adjusted life. The first six issues takes us through Kay and P's first meeting, how they came to be together, as well as give us a smattering of their daily lives and personalities.

Started in 2009, Kay and P appears both online (www.kayandp.com) and in print. It is a full color, one-woman project; written, illustrated and promoted by Jackie. Thus far, it's all been out of pocket by the artist - for the trade paperback addition, we're calling out to all lovers of comics, indie artists and just all around nice folks to help publish the book. Trade paperbacks allow us to reach new readers who are collectors of paperbacks, or just want to catch themselves up on the series without scrounging around for all the back issues. The thousand dollars will be used to cover printing/shipping costs, which are rather demanding for full color printing.
