After seeing Brusspup's pushpin art piece (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOh7fcrVMSE&noredirect=1), I was inspired to re-imagine something of incredible beauty on a massive scale. My idea: re-create The Kiss, by Gustav Klimt, in 114 Columns, 152 Rows, with 17,328 Legos in 36 different colors! The funds you donate will help purchase the Legos, the foundation, the frame to display the finished mosaic, and the rewards for everyone who donates. Using a special software program I have created a row and column outline for where each Lego is to be positioned to re-create this epic work of art, and with your help, we can see this project come to fruition. When George Leigh, the famous climber who attempted to reach the top of Mount Everest was asked, "Why did you want to climb Mount Everest?" he responded, "Because it’s there." This is my Mount Everest. If you fund this project, we will not solve world hunger, or give back rubies and gold. But we will have created a one of a kind piece of art, that like the original, will dazzle with color, inspire with substance and rejuvenate the soul with beauty. With all the things we must do in this world for a reason or a purpose, this is something we can do just because it's there. Lets take this journey together and create something worth remembering.
