JUVENTAS NEW MUSIC ENSEMBLE voices the musical culture of the present by featuring repertoire by composers age 35 and under. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, the ensemble has seven core musicians, which are augmented with guest artists to form a wide array of instrumentations—both traditional and non-traditional.
Since its founding in 2005, Juventas has performed works by more than 80 composers in exhilarating concerts that showcase the diversity of contemporary music. From lyrical melodies to recorded sounds from outer space, Juventas performances are a tour de force, showcasing the most engaging music of a new generation. With over 50 concerts under its belt, the ensemble has steadily gained recognition having been featured five times as a “Classical Music Pick” by The Boston Globe.
Highlights from previous seasons include high-energy performances at the global summit for Images and Voices of Hope in New York, Ryles Jazz Club in Boston, the Mahaney Center for the Arts in Vermont as well as ongoing residencies at The Boston Conservatory and Middlebury College.
