Be a part of my dream in developing an EP of original songs that will be a catalyst for my future in music.
I've been playing music since I was five. I've been writing songs since I was 25. While I know many people enjoy my cover tunes, it is time for me to share what I've been developing for several years. A well-done EP is the perfect vehicle for my songs.
An extended play or EP is a musical recording of around 3-5 songs. My goal is to create an EP of my original work that will serve as both a revenue stream during gigs and as a sample of my work that can be sent to potential booking agents and venues.
The money will go towards...
The majority of the money will go towards studio time - roughly 30-40 hours is what I'll need. Once everything is recorded, time and mula will be spent mixing the tracks. After that, there is the printing or duplication of the CD itself. Duplicating one CD costs about $3. So multiply that by 50 or a 100 and you get the picture.
From there money will go towards any design and marketing materials.
The most important aspect of this project is a GOOD recording. One that reflects my style and musicianship. Bernie Nau and Peachfork Studios will be my partner in crime for this.

The over all challenge to completing this project is getting enough studio time. Having enough time in the studio will allow me to create something really special. In order to minimize cost but get the best recording possible, I plan to keep the song arrangements simple performing most if not all of the instruments myself. The other plan to attack this issue is practice, practice, practice. By having all the arrangements done ahead of time and working out each part in advance, I will save a lot of time in the studio. This will allow for more money to be put towards duplication, artwork, etc.
