Epic Digital is an animation studio aiming to create a new web series, not for the faint of heart.  Based on the web-comic "Jesus Christ: In the Name of the Gun."  Epic Digital owns the rights to this series, and this series will be created with the same team that crafts the hit web-comic.  Want to check it out?  View the video here, or read more at www.jesuschriststory.com.

The world is in turmoil.  Demons, monsters, and aliens are changing history.  Jesus Christ must leave heaven and travel through time with his specialized team of heroes to fight evil at every turn.

Ideally we want to make this an ongoing animated web series, consisting of short monthly episodes animated in the style above.  The first episode will take $10,000 to fund.  This is a test.  Your funds will be used to make a pilot episode, several minutes long.  If enough financial support is made to create this first episode, the episode will be crafted and released by August.

But that's just the beginning.  If we're able to successfully raise $10,000 in support, we will create another Kickstarter project on a larger scale, for the first season of episodes.  You are here at the genesis of a new series.

This animated series is based on the comic, with the same premise, but with all new adventures.  The video above is a pitch-perfect sample of what we're attempting.  The idea isn't to make an offensive or blasphemous cartoon-- but an adventurous action series in the same vein as Samurai Jack (with a dash of South Park), with all new adventures crafted for a PG-13 web audience.
