Hello from the American Winter producers
The wonderful news is... We are nearly to our goal of raising $25,000, which is a huge accomplishment and we want to thank each and every one of you for your help and support! It is amazing to even know that so many people appreciate the film, and to think that now we have the beginnings of a movement to try to make an impact and help families in this country who are struggling to get by.
I want to point out that we need $75,000 (an additional $50,000 beyond or kickstarter funding goal) to cover the full cost of the on-line, which includes the sound mix, the color correction and the music. Because we would get nothing if we didn't raise the full amount of the ask on Kickstarter, we were a bit conservative in our request. $25,000 gets the ball rolling, but let's keep going and see if we can raise at least half the $75,000 ($37,500) in this kickstarter campaign
Every dollar gets us closer to our goal of finishing American Winter. This has been an uplifting experience, and thanks to all of you for your kind and generous support. Together, we will get American Winter finished so it can be shown to the public, and hopefully change people’s stereotypes about who the families are in this country that need to use the social safety net.

it's always good to have a conservative first number. i have friends who didn't make their minimum, so they lost all. the second try can have fewer people (some people don't realize that they haven't actually donated the money yet, just pledged).
keep sending it around, you'll go over. this is important information and well done.
