Welcome to Broken Bottle Brewery's Kickstarter Project Page. Broken Bottle Brewery (BBB) is a dream Chris Chavez and Donavan Lane have been working on for the last 3 years. This started as two guys with an appreciation for good beer. Then they tried to make their own beer and well… they were pretty damned good at it. It evolved from an occasional hobby, to a weekly brewing session, to a passion and then into a dream of opening our own brewery.
Over the past 3 years, we have shared our beer with our friends and family. The amazing feedback we received has fueled our desire to brew and driven our aspiration to share our unique recipes with a broader audience. In fact, our beer is world renowned and praised…okay, that was just one guy from Portugal, but you get the point.
Broken Bottle Brewery will be what we like to refer to as a "nanobrewery", which basically means that it is smaller than a microbrewery, but bigger than Donavan's garage (and more awesome)! We will have a small brewing area in the back and a taproom up front (also known as the Lair of Deliciousness). Our goal will be to create the small neighborhood bar feeling that Albuquerque is lacking. Most importantly, we will concentrate on producing small, craft batches of the unique recipes that we have developed over the years.
What am I paying for?
I know what you're thinking, I want some beer! How can I help get this open sooner? Well... it turns out that opening a brewery isn’t cheap, so here is where you come in. All the money that we are able to raise on Kickstarter will go towards buying some nice shiny brewing equipment. Everyone knows that the shinier the equipment, the better the beer. We’re not going to explain how Kickstarter (or shiny-ness) works, because they have a FAQ section for that. However, the more you donate, the better your reward.
Why should I fund this?
If you choose to support us, not only will you be helping us to achieve our dream, but you’ll help a new business start in Albuquerque, and most importantly, also help us to end the suffering of those who live on the Westside and are forced to drink swill.
