We are headed to The Whisky. The Whisky is a pay-to-play venue and we are trying to raise the funds to pay the fee.
The Kari Ehli Band hails from the Seattle Washington area and has worked its way up from playing the smallest of Seattle clubs to the largest of local stages. Now, after heaps of hard work, we get our chance to go and perform in the mecca of live original music-Hollywood California!!
Located the on the sunset strip in the heart of West Hollywood, The Whisky’s proximity to the headquarters of Capitol records and many other record labels makes this an opportune chance to attract the correct sort of attention! We have been chosen to headline a blues festival in the heart of Hollywood.
The Whiskey a Go-Go has a rich musical heritage and many of the worlds most famous bands got their start on its hallowed stage. It seems anyone that was anybody played at the Whisky. This includes everyone from Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Blondie, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Frank Zappa, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, Van Morrison, The Police, and many, many more.
As we said before, the Whisky, like so many of Los Angeles’ premiere venues, is a pay to play venue. With that in mind we are asking for your help. We have started a Kickstarter fundraising program to help us defray the costs of our trip to Los Angeles. We are trying to sell the tickets we need to successfully appear at the Whisky. We have set our goal at $600. This will cover the cost of playing the Whisky, but bear in mind that this campaign is capable of collecting beyond that, and any funds collected beyond that goal will be directly applied to the cost of our trip from our far-away trip from Seattle to Los Angeles.
For those who donate to this worthy cause, we have many prize packages prepared to reward those who pledge to assist our worthy cause. This includes tickets to the LA show, CD’s, T-shirts, Guitar Lessons, and more.
The credit cards of those who pledge will not be debited until we meet our goal. If we do not meet out goal, then your pledge will not be debited and we will have to start all over again.
We hope you will support us in our endeavor to continue to produce original music, and to be a part of Pacific Northwest musical history.
