We're at 30%, Many Thanks and a Progress Update!
Hey again Everyone!
Thanks as always for your support! With your help we've reached 30%, a critical milestone! You've proven that there is solid support and a real interest in seeing this happen!
We've been busy up in Tottenham, in our workspace at the Great Lakes Gliding Club. Working with an excellent team of university students and other volunteers, rotor-production has begun with the cutting of each of the styrofoam rib shapes.

We have also finished joining and preparing the rotor structure tooling, and Friday we manufactured the first test spar for proving out our calculations and construction method. If all goes well with the coming test, we'll move into production-mode and have the rotors finished in 2-3 weeks!

The past few weeks have also been spent working on design sub-tasks, such as the drivetrain, controls system, and rotor support structure. Excellent progress has been made on each of these fronts, with simple and elegant solutions in development.
So thanks again everyone for your help and support! We know you've done so much already, but now it's as important as ever to keep spreading the word about our efforts and ensure we can raise the remaining 70%! In return, we promise to repay your kindness and generosity with hard work and dedication. Onwards and upwards!
