About Justin Virgil:

For the past several years I have worked in New York City as a barber to promote the new American barber movement as well as a return of effortless and eternal style for gentleman. My menswear collection represents an important side of that equation and is available for viewing on my website, justinvirgil.com.

The preview collection has been very well received by major players in the fashion industry with one key objection: there isn't enough of it. I have poured every spare minute and penny into this project and have created something to be proud of, but it is all I am able to create within the required timeline, and on my salary as a barber living in New York City. To be a contender in the menswear marketplace I need to create more styles and sample garments in multiple colors so buyers (stores) can really see the possibilities and the collection can stand out in a crowded room among other menswear lines. To accomplish this I need your help.

The purpose of my KICKSTARTER project is to raise the funds required to build the Fall/Winter 2013 collection and lookbook to show in January, 2013.

What to do with funds if the project is fully backed: 

• Purchase fabric and trim from a variety of top quality suppliers across the globe. This includes some shipping costs and duties.
• Purchase garment labels and tags.
• Pay additional patternmakers, and sewers to help construct the garments within the given timeline.
• Pay for dyeing and finishing of certain garments.
• Produce a quality lookbook and press kit to promote the new collection. This includes models, stylist, studio, etc. 

If we raise more than the $15,000 project goal:

One of the best ways to show the collection is through a powerful trade show that takes place in New York City in January. Buyers, stores, and media come from all over the world to see what's new and make decisions for the upcoming seasons. Of course there are many expenses associated with such a show like agents, signage, dress forms, etc., and the fees to exhibit are very high. Any extra funds will be applied to these expenses.
