Dear Wonderful Backers, Believers and Partners,

You are truly my heroes!  Without you we would have never become a Kickstarter success story and have funds to keep moving ahead on the film. We are in fact listed on Kickstarter under the “most funded projects” tab. 

I can’t believe how many people are aware of our, yes our, we did this together, our successful Kickstarter campaign.  I’ve been already interviewed for a story about how we did it.  I’ve been at a few industry events and was shocked to see how many people came over to me to congratulate me.  Wish you were all there to share in the glory.  I’m still kvelling. 

As I wrote you before, we are we on our way but have a long way to go to be fully funded. These funds are allowing us to keep shooting and moving ahead in post production.  Thank you, thank you!!  We need to raise $150,000 more.

From the $50,000 a percentage goes to Kickstarter and Amazon for their services and rightfully so and a percentage is going to fulfilling the gifts for your generous donations.  What a pleasure to be able to give you something back for your support.  We have just finished making the poster. They are back from the printer. We now have all the deliverables including DVDs, books, photographs and paintings. What we need from you is your shipping address. 

Some of you have written directly to me letting me know you don’t want the gifts and prefer to see the funds used directly on the movie.  Much appreciated!! Every dollar counts.  Just the packing and shipping adds up. If you feel the same, please send me an email so I know.  We are keeping the gifts for you for a later day when we have all the funds in hand.

In an effort to raise additional funds, I had two grant deadlines lurking and as soon as we finished our successful Kickstarter campaign it was nose (no pun intended)  to the grindstone to get them written and out to make the deadline. Done!! 

Now, I’m busy working on prepping our shoots that are coming up.  Mom will be here next week for the Jewish holidays and for shooting.  Dr. Pamela Thompson is flying up from Atlanta do a session with us and some other shooting.  Really excited about this.  She is the psychologist who wrote Surviving Mama.

   A. We need more funds so here is how you can DONATE and spread the word. This is really IMPORTANT.   There are two ways to donate here. One way goes to Women Make Movies, our non-profit fiscal sponsor. You will get a tax write off and they will get a percentage. C.  FUNDRAISING HOUSE PARTIES -  If you have friends who you would like to get together in a room and share this project with them, please let me know. I will either attend if it is local to NY or send you any materials you might need including DVDs and posters.

2. CREDITS AVAILABLE – Executive Producer and Co-Executive Producer credits are available.  As you come onboard in this capacity for $50K we will help you in various ways by being attached to this film. 

3. OUTREACH PARTNERS – Are there people or organizations that you think would make a good outreach partner, please let me know.

4. PRODUCER and ASSOCIATE PRODUCER – One or the other. This is someone who has been there and done that. Experienced person who loves the business of producing, knows distribution and connects to this film and its mission.  Yes, I know many people in this field but again, wanted to put this on your radar since you might be a shidduch maker. That’s matchmaker in Yiddish. 

5. INTERNS:  I find wonderful interns from ads we post. I want to put this out to you since you might have a young, smart friend who wants an opportunity to get into the business.  Currently, I’m looking for a few interns with different skill sets:  post production, social media, and research

6. Do you have a story that you want to share about your critical parent, a nose job or anything else relevant to the film please do by going to Share your story.

We did it!  You kept coming back and increasing your pledges and then new backers started showing up due to your spreading the word. I am so DEEPLY TOUCHED.

We have shoots booked and going to be viewing and assembling the material we have so far. Over 160 hours of footage already.

We have $50,000 raised here and as I wrote on the main page, we need $200K to finish the film and get it out.   I didn't want to put up that amount on Kickstarter for fear of not reaching the goal.

We just won Project of the Week at Indiewire.  Please take a look.  This is great news. This film is getting so much exposure already and people are voting for it. 

Doors are opening with many professional opportunities. This film is touching people. Who hasn't had a problem in their life with a critical person and perhaps critical parent? Everybody has a mother.

b. Go to "My Nose: The Bigger Version" page.

c. Click on the Blue Button on the right that says "MANAGE YOUR PLEDGE".

d. That brings you to a new page that says “MANAGE YOUR PLEDGE”. The text is in green.

e. Under "Pledge Amount", type in the amount you wish to pledge (This will replace the previous amount you pledged- it is not in addition to what you have already pledged).

f. If the amount you pledged puts you in a new rewards tier, then you must choose the proper tier under "Reward Selection". If not, do not change anything.

g. After Steps 2 and 3, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue box that says "CONTINUE".

h. Click "CONFIRM" if the amount is correct, then click "CONTINUE TO AMAZON" to checkout.

The China opportunity is amazing in so many ways.  I really want to see someone take this and share this with their loved one and/or friends and have a great time. And come back and share it with all of us.
