A documentary chronicling the life of artist Sharon Stern-Ostermayer.
My aunt Sharon was brilliant at everything she tried. Painting, weaving, acting, doll making, hat making, making jelly, making jokes. It was like there was too much creative energy to contain inside of just one person. She would spontaneously break into song and dance or transform herself into one character after the other.
When Sharon passed away from cancer in 1999 I set out to make a documentary about her amazing life. Over the years I've interviewed 23 family members and friends of Sharon, collected 35 tapes of home movies and scanned thousands of family photos. Please help me turn this mountain of footage into something that tells the story of my aunt Sharon - the most unique, talented, difficult, infuriating, and wonderful person that I've ever known.
