About this project
The Zees, a zombie family, have decided to "educate" the kids of all ages that zombies are not scary and are in fact normal folks like you and me. To do this the Zees wrote a book called Meet the Zombies: A Kid's Book for All Ages with their friend Stem the Brain (pictured above). The Zees used photographs of themselves as illustrations and spiced it up with little irony and a whole lot of humor.
Meet the Zombies is a book that really is meant for everyone. Silly and lighthearted (and definitely not gross!), it is a bridge to www.meetthezombies.com and the potential book(s) and merchandise that (God willing) will follow. (I'm thinking plushies and cartoons.) We already have original songs on the website and "free downloads." For now, we'll start with completing and distributing our book.
Your generous support allows us to self publish Meet the Zombies and distribute through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and local bookstores and venues by purchasing an ISBN number (those aren't cheap!). Additionally your contributions allow us to purchase copies of the book to distribute at a variety of local venues and gives us the freedom to distribute fliers and new business cards, all the accoutrements necessary for a grass roots promotion of Meet the Zombies: A Kid's Book for All Ages.
Contributions also go to maintaining our presence on the web and transforming www.meetthezombies.com into an e-commerce site giving us some autonomy to function as a stand alone entity. The website is always in a state of flux and is updated constantly, particularly now that Halloween is right around the corner and, more importantly, this book is nearly completed! I am adding new characters to meet and fun downloads like coloring pages and paper dolls. Your backing allows me to keep this presence on the internet.

I have been writing creatively for almost thirty years! (Weird! It makes me sound so old!) It has been my dream to write something a little different, a little unusual.
I enjoy dark stories and monster stories and I am an avid fan of animation and stories told in various mediums. By far, though, I am a fan of stories. I grew up on the West Coast and joined the Army out of high school where I travelled the world. My experiences have given me a rich palette to draw from. While I have a thousand more projects on paper and in the caverns of my mind this is my first and brings together my love for the silly and ironic along with a splash of animation!
