INSPIRIT, a dance company was founded in 2000 by Christal Brown. The Company's mission includes providing a forum for collaboration among emerging female artists and choreographers. It also aims to expose the general public to dance by sponsoring affordable and accessible performances in community based venues. 

We are currently working towards our performance season and we're looking for your financial support!! We will present three new works in Fall 2012. New Artistic Director, Alexandra Joye Warren, is choreographing an evening length piece that explores spiritual exuberance and ancestral strength. The movement vocabulary stems from the the ensemble's wide ranging experiences from post-modern forms to traditional West African Dance.

With your support we hope to fund:

▪    Rehearsal space rental at Union Street Dance and other venues around New York City ($10-15 per hour of studio space) to create an evening length and two short new dance works.

Creating a New York Performance Season takes a lot of hard work, time, and money, but with your help and support, it can all be possible!!
