What is Tales of the Renegade Sector?

Tales of the Renegade Sector is an episodic series of Action-Adventure games following a Space Pirate crew as they explore alien worlds in search of treasure and adventure.  

The game is inspired by pulp sci-fi and fantasy, shows like Star Trek and Firefly, and Sci-Fi B-movies.  It is also influenced by classic games, with plenty of places to explore and secrets to discover.  The gameplay combines the exploration of action-adventure with the fast-paced action of a top-down shooter with mouse aiming.

A short first season has already been released, and had weekly installments, which can be played here.  I plan on expanding the series with the next season, with more episodes, more alien worlds, and better gameplay and art.  And to do this, I'll need your help.

Features

•  Episodic format with adventures split up into weekly episodes, free to play online
  
• Fast-paced top-down shooting combat that allows you to run and gun or take cover and plan your attack.
•  Fight both with your trusty laser gun, as well as improvised weapons such as sticks and rocks when you run out of ammo.
  
• Find alien plants which can provide positive effects, such as recovering your health, as well as negative effects, such as hallucinations or speed reduction
• Focus on creating interesting worlds for the player to explore and discover.

The money from this campaign will help me to support myself while I develop and release episodes, as well as hopefully hire a dedicated artist to help out with the project and bring life to the worlds you'll be exploring.
