• What's Kickstarter? How does it work?

  Kickstarter is a site that enables people to make pledges to fund creative projects they like. To make a pledge, the user needs to have an Amazon account and / or credit card. If and only if the project goal is met, pledges are then debited.

• How much does Kickstarter get? How much does the project actually get?

  If the pledge goal is met, Kickstarter takes a 5% fee, and Amazon Payments takes another 3-5%. In addition to these costs, the project funder is to make good on the rewards (in this case photo and art prints, DVD, etc.). Costs of printing and shipping will amount to another 5-10%.

  This means we're aiming to get roughly 80-85% of our 15,000$ goal, or about $12,000.

• What will you do if the goal is met?

  If we end up with about $12,000, there will still be a lot to do, namely: hire out the team for video editing and post-production imaging (200h), an original soundtrack and audio engineering (100h), as well as the costs of submissions to festivals and potentially going there.

• How do I pick my rewards? Do I need to pick them?

  You can pick from the pictures on ooamerica.com as well as previous projects. If you're not sure which to choose, you can also suggest some general preferences (ie: a state or city, landscape, people or abstract, color or black&white) and we'll pick one out or send you a few to choose from.

• Are the photo and art prints signed or customizable?

  Yes, all prints are signed and serialized. This is a limited edition for this Kickstarter campaign. The larger ones comes with a personalized dedication. Thanks!

• I pledged! When do I get my rewards?

  First, thanks for pledging! Prints of photos and artwork should be available towards the dates mentioned next to the reward. The end of the road-trip (part 2) will roughly coincide with the end of our appeal on Kickstarter. We'll start sending out prints then, the DVD / movie will have to wait till it is edited, closer to summer.
