One Year Later

Update #5 · Aug 7, 2012 · comment

Hi Everybody!

One year ago today, we reached our fundraising goal thanks to all of you!

Today I'm proudly posting our first proper trailer for The Tragedy of Macbeth!  What a difference a year makes, right?

We are firmly into the post-production period.  The film should be ready in the next couple of months.  I'll be sending an email to each of the backers to verify how you would like your name to appear in the credits (you all get a shout out!).

Thank you all for making this possible!  And thanks to Kickstarter for giving us all a place to chase dreams like this!

Design updates!

Update #4 · Feb 13, 2012 · comment

Hi Everybody!

It's been months since I posted an update, but don't worry: I wasn't just sitting around!

I've been taking a CGI training course to improve the quality of the models and the finished renders.  I've learned a ton of new tricks, and done a total redesign of the Shakespeare bots.  Check out the new images below!

We are now in the Motion-Capture stage, to be followed by the Render stage, then the Post stage, where we will add all the sound effects, music, do the editing and retool anything that needs adjusting.

We're ahead of schedule (looking at a June completion), and on our way!  I'll post another update when the Motion Capture is done.

Once again, thank ALL of you for making this happen!!  And thanks to Kickstarter for making it possible!

Audio is recorded!

Update #3 · Nov 15, 2011 · comment

Hi everybody!

Last week our intrepid cast got into the studio here in Philadelphia to record the text!

With the raw audio done, we'll move on to voice effects (*ro-bot voi-ces*) and editing, while the design and storyboard phase continues.

In other news, there's been some exciting breakthroughs in rendering technology for the finished animations.  Technical jargon aside, it means that the movie is going to look very, very cool!

I'll post another update at the next big milestone, which will most likely be finished video snippets (or at least late-draft video snippets) in the next month or so.

You made this happen, you wonderful people!!
