Luckily it is already canceled, if not I will be the one who get con.

@Josh excellent tip! I never knew I can do that! Just tried and it works great!

    3. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Josh Robinson on April 17, 2012

Just a tip. If you have a doubt next time, right click on the picture and copy it then you can go to google images, click on the camera icon in the search bar and search for that picture or similar ones. It won't work every time I'm sure, but it works with this one and the other one they did.

    4. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator James Reiter on April 17, 2012

Yes, you can see from all of the other products the fake users backed, it is a scam. Everyone be careful.

    5. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Kelvin Tong on April 17, 2012

      What a scam...haiz...

    6. Missing_small

Creator Nick Tison on April 17, 2012

All the failed projects that "they' backed are from Philadelphia, PA. Coincidence?

    7. Missing_small

Creator Nick Tison on April 17, 2012

Ok "Julie " why don't you post a link to that and your blog? Why aren't you mad? Are you sure you are just Julie or are you Mat or Shannon too?

    8. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Josh Robinson on April 17, 2012

I find it funny you're still trying to defend it when the pictures are taken right there from the hearing aid site. Also, Shannon can be a guy's name too. But you two obviously know each other so I'll take your work on that point at least.

    9. Missing_small

Creator Julie Barbin on April 17, 2012

@Josh, the invention was on engadget about a month ago and I was really interested so I contacted him directly. Lots of hate here though haha oh well

    10. Missing_small

Creator Julie Barbin on April 17, 2012

lmao I'm pretty sure Shannon isn't a dude

    11. Missing_small

Creator Nick Tison on April 17, 2012

Oh well, I guess it was a fraud I'll move on with my life now.

    12. Missing_small

Creator Nick Tison on April 17, 2012

It almost looks like this hearing aid at this website http://www.sandiahearingaids.net/products.asp.
      (at bottom right)
      WTF

    13. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Josh Robinson on April 17, 2012

Maybe shannon was the one in the video lol

    14. Missing_small

Creator Nick Tison on April 17, 2012

Mat (first comment) also backed the same projects as Julie and Shannon and was created on the same day.... Febuary 7 2012. Something was going on here.

    15. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Josh Robinson on April 17, 2012

Yeah i already saw that. Julie was backer #1 too

    16. Missing_small

Creator Nick Tison on April 17, 2012

Look Julie and Shannon created their accounts on the same day, a coincidence, I don't think so. I'm suspicious.

    17. Missing_small

Creator Mika on April 17, 2012

Oh and the website address that was mentioned for this project in the description, is still available for anyone to register. A real project/company would register that one before announcing it so no one else could take it.

    18. Missing_small

Creator Mika on April 17, 2012

Looks like both Julie and Shannon backed the same exact three projects earlier which were another bluetooth earbud project and a clothing project that was first cancelled but later managed to get funded. And when you look at the other backers on this project, you can see those same three pop up again and again. There really was something going on here. Let's just hope that the one clothing project that got funded wasn't a scam too... I have to say it doesn't look good though since a lot of the backers there also backed the earlier bluetooth earbud project or are first time backers...

    19. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Chris Growcock on April 17, 2012

If you look at a few of the profiles of people here in the comments, you'll see a few who have backed a couple other cancelled projects and nothing else. I'd bet this is some sort of ongoing scam.

    20. Fb_profile_picture.small

@ julie How did you email last week about testing when it was put up less than 24 hrs ago?

    21. Missing_small

Creator Nick Tison on April 17, 2012

I thought it was too good to be true as well.....

    22. Missing_small

Creator Julie Barbin on April 17, 2012

Thats total bullshit. I emailed him last week asking if I could test the product for my blog site and he sent it and it worked amazing, just like he said. I despise Kickstarter now and will never use it again, nor will my thousands of daily blog users after the post I'll write tonight

    23. Missing_small

Creator Shannon Sharp on April 17, 2012

I got that email too. This happened before to my another project i backed. Apparently Kickstarter has the ability to delete any project it wants to despite an 88 person following. I hope they know I'm done with the site rockethub.com here i come

    24. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Josh Robinson on April 17, 2012

Maybe kickstarter suspected it was a fraud. The entire account is deleted. I kinda had my doubts. It seemed a little too good to be true. but i figured i had a month and a half to decide.

    25. Img_0003.small

Creator David on April 17, 2012

I hope it wasn't a "Cease and desist" order.

    26. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Jeff Kuhlmeier on April 17, 2012

I doubt we'll get and explanation seeing as he deleted his account.

    27. Missing_small

Creator Matt on April 17, 2012

I just received an email, "Kickstarter has canceled the funding on this project, as well as the users profile. We did this because Kickstarter felt that this project did not represent the Kickstarter community. If you feel otherwise, please send us a personal message."
fucking kickstarter dude. I was mad excited for this

    28. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Jeff Kuhlmeier on April 17, 2012

I'm with Paul on this one, I wish we had an explanation to go along with this cancellation.

    29. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Jernej Oset on April 17, 2012

      Why was this cancelled?

    30. Studio.small

A few questions I have. What's the sound quality? What's the range for these? And are these harmful to use (bluetooth headsets in general)?

      Thanks
