A collection of children's clothing incorporating hand screened, original art onto all garments, helping to keep the arts in schools.
Neve + Hawk is the first full collection of children's clothing from our little handmade clothing company, Neve Inspired. Born out of the realization that fear needs to be set aside and dreams need to be chased, Neve + Hawk is the next step in our clothing endeavor. While keeping our handmade t-shirt line, we will be adding to those shirts by designing and selling a full line of children's wear that will be made right here in the grand US of A! Our collection will include duds for both little ladies and lads, with a philosophy of keeping things fun and playful as well comfortable and versatile.
When brainstorming the next steps for Neve Inpsired, we were incredibly nervous about not sewing each individual garment ourselves. Art fuels our lives and creating in our home brings us an incredible sense of joy. After pondering many options, we decide to design a line around garments featuring an original "art piece" from our home studio - a hand screened piece of fabric with an original illustration, different on every style. With this, our first collection, Neve + Hawk was born.
Why is it so important for us to incorporate an original artwork onto every garment? Because we believe that art is damn important. In all mediums. In all forms. We want to be around it, create it, get inspired by it and inspire others with it. We want the children wearing the clothing to love the drawings and possibly be inspired by them too. So, we design, we illustrate, we mix paint, we burn screens, we thread machines and we pull ink. (Many times with our 4 year old helping and our 1 year old playing in the room while we work)
We are blessed beyond words to find our pure joy through the arts - much of this attributed through our amazing public schools and the art programs they offered. Because of our passion for the arts and desire for our children to experience the same, Neve + Hawk will donate a portion of our profits to help keep the arts in our public schools. Every child deserves a well rounded education and an outlet for their creativity.
With the help of Kickstarter and our backers, we will be able to debut Neve + Hawk at Playtime New York in March. We will be able to finish our designs, find incredible fabric, get patterns made, produce our samples and create our marketing. We will be able to turn our dream into a reality and see our garments in stores across the globe.
Playtime New York features 100 brands dedicated to the universe of children, junior and maternity. A unique selection of today's best collections.
Much love to all our friends and family who have supported us this past year. And, a HUGE shout of thanks goes to a few special people that helped us get this kickstarter project launched. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
