Happy February Everyone!
If this were like any other February, I'd be collecting your song titles, locking myself in the closet and writing furiously for hours to meet my 14 song deadline.
BUT, this February is different--this February I release a RECORD!
February Album Writing Month has changed the way I write, the way I think about inspiration, and the way I interact with my fans. It's truly changed my life and my perspective and I can't wait to give you all this record, the culmination of our creative work.
The mixes are all in, and the next step is to get the album mastered, which happens THIS week. Then off to the manufacturers and by the end of the month, we should have a full fledged record.
Many of you who have contributed song titles in the past have now helped with the artwork--this has become an entirely different creative collaboration, something I hadn't anticipated, and a complete bonus. I am blown away by you all!
I'm taking a break from FAWM this year to focus on releasing the album, but I dare the creative types among you to jump on board and try it out. This year's goal is 14 and a half songs in 29 days (thanks to leap year), so you've got some extra time;)
Thanks again, and look for more updates in the next couple of weeks.

Bio
After 6 years of writing songs while her babies napped and spending the wee hours of the night tracking and recording, Flo Paris has stepped out with new songs, a new record, and an even stronger determination to play.
The early 2000s were spent playing small coffee shops and joining the successful Chattanooga based progressive rock band, "Glass Hammer."
During her time with GH, Flo lent her angelic background vocals to numerous recordings as well as live DVDs and an appearance at the North East Art Rock Festival in New Jersey in 2003.
"Practice Room" was the first full-length record and was produced by two of the members of Glass Hammer.
She moved back to her home town of San Luis Obispo, CA with her first record and in 2006 single-handedly promoted and pulled off a CD release show, filling 200 seats and gaining rave reviews, all while 9 months pregnant with her second daughter.
Moving to Nashville and also moving away from the Christian music industry for her second album wasn't easy, but she has gained an entirely new audience while managing to keep her loyal fans with her sophomore record, "Coming Around", released in June 2009.
She had only been in town a year, and already packed the house at the "Coming Around" release show inviting artists such as Sandra McCracken, Katy and Kenny Hutson, and Eric Brown to share the stage and lend their support.
The CD release was followed by a cross country tour ending in California, where she opened for L.A. based "Lakes" at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood.
In 2010 she was voted into the #1 slot in the Lilith Fair Local Talent Search for the Nashville area, and she can now be found playing with and opening for numerous artists in town, such as Tyrus Morgan, Andrew Osenga, Nick Flora, Sandra McCracken and Derek Webb.
She is currently working on a full length record with producer Kenny Hutson (formerly of Vigilantes of Love, Over the Rhine) and playing house shows and living rooms across the country.
