The Brick People is a documentary that chronicles the story and legacy of the Mexican immigrants who came to work at Simons Brickyard #3 in Los Angeles during the early part of the 20th century. The bricks they made helped to build Los Angeles, rebuild San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake and were shipped to countless other locations all over the world.

Our goal is to produce a polished short-form version that we'll take to festivals to help generate interest in and support for the production of a feature-length version.

The money we raise will be used to pay for music and image licenses, sound mixing, and all of the other little expenses that come along with finishing a film.

If you're not familiar with how Kickstarter works, please check out the link to the FAQ at the top of this page - there's a ton of clear, easy to understand information there.

The most important thing to remember, though, is that if we fall even one dollar short of our goal, we get NOTHING. Truly, every single dollar helps and will be endlessly appreciated.

Over-funding is allowed, too, so even if you see that we've made our goal of $5,555, you can still contribute. The more money we have, the more we can do to make this a truly great film.
