PaletteCase is the only case that supports every way you hold and prop your iPad and iPad 2.
Now your iPad is as easy to hold as an artist's palette! No longer will you awkwardly grip the edge of your iPad! No longer will you have to endure thick, bulky iPad cases made from cheap plastic!
The slim, protective case is made of 100% Merino wool felt and durable vegetable tanned leather. *And JUST ANNOUNCED it will now be offered in a Chestnut or Black all-leather version!
With PaletteCase you can comfortably and securely grip your iPad in both landscape and portrait mode and quickly change between the two. With a small opening in the back of the case, you can support your tablet with the center of your hand unlike a standard case where gripping it from the edge can cause hand fatigue. Additionally, two leather straps support table-top typing, handsfree video-watching and a secure grip on the go. You get all of this in a finely crafted, American-made case that protects your iPad while maintaining a thin profile. PaletteCase allows you to access all of the jacks, buttons and cameras on your device. No other iPad case offers as complete a solution, with beautiful design, quality materials and craftsmanship.
We have been collaborating together on various projects for years, many of which focus on enabling a mobile lifestyle. Recently, we have been disappointed in the products in the iPad case market. Few of the cases available support the many ways we use our iPads, and even fewer offer a stylish design, thin profile and natural materials. With this in mind we spent the last few months building over 30 prototypes by hand with an old, sturdy sewing machine on Nick's kitchen table. Each one was an opportunity to gather user feedback from our many iPad-toting friends and get closer to what we see as an ideal solution for your tablet experience.
PaletteCase is made from 100% all natural materials that are sourced in the USA. It was designed here in California, and it will be made in Texas by a trusted manufacturer. We are finalizing the details of production samples for both the iPad and iPad 2. The funds we raise with the help of Kickstarters like you will cover our initial tooling costs as well as the cost of our initial production run.

Nick and Beau are brothers based in San Francisco who have been designing and creating projects together since they were in diapers. Their systemic approach to design combines Nick's expertise as a furniture and lighting designer and fabricator with Beau's expertise in architecture and design strategy. Nick and Beau derive insights they gain from the city life around them to inspire innovative design solutions that improve life in the urban environment. Their iterative process yields countless prototypes that employ digital and traditional fabrication techniques in pursuit of forms that function.
