Way past the two week update timeline. Is he out of town? I got an email from translucence which was bitter, not really an update, just regurgitating the stuff we all have seen on FB regarding CES and the last gadget standing award, along with "new skins" and the new materials that will now be used in production. Now production...what's that news on that? I am getting tired of this lack of transparency.

Thanks Jason, but the update only informs us on the changes that will be made. It makes no impression of any progression other than informing us what you are intending to do with the new changes or components in the update. Here you never gave a date past the April 2012 date listed. But at CES, IIRC you mentioned March in one of your many press interviews. Why tell the press an not us? Kind of like a child disappointment at their parents, when they say one thing and do another.

Been meaning to ask, does the Trackpad have colour changing LED's like the keyboard? I couldn't see it anywhere in the documentation. Also, any idea when we might be getting the product?

With regards to your update #27 (that's a lot of updates no? lol), in the 'reserve' page, you indicated that the touchpads will be available in the summer. Does that include the kickstarter ones as well? I only say this because I ordered both. Not a dealbreaker but was wondering if that would delay my shipment. I can deal with the keyboard only and have my trackball for the time being. Thanks!

I have all the confidence that we will eventually receive the units and I am sure they will be everything we expected and more. My main complaint is lack of updates. I have no problem waiting for the product, but right now, I have no idea that the product ACTUALLY WORKS. I have seen video of the skins being applied, video of the the LED changing colors, and even a video of the camera mapping and tracking of the finger, but I still haven't heard or seen a working unit yet. I am assuming they exist otherwise the booth at CES is rather pointless. Please provide use with an idea of when we can expect the product to ship (again, I don't care if it is months from now, though I would prefer otherwise) and also a demonstration of a working unit.

I'm just being optimistic. I'd be more worried if there were no updates or activity as shown in Facebook (as I see you post there as well). I am not giving them excuses nor crucifying them, but given that they are at mercy of certain things like shipping from overseas via cargo, you can only do what you can do with what is given.

I will start worrying if there will be gaps of time like 6 months without any updates here or on FB. Until that point is reached, being mad at things isn't going to make the process faster IMO.

According to that article, it seems to mention production to start early next year. So maybe March? I'd be a GREAT birthday present :) and my Ouya box will be sent to me soon too! And for my Pebble? I am throwing in the towel in that one lol....

Multi-Blutooth connectivity / pairing the keyboard to multiple devices, with a way to switch from one to another.

FWIW, the latest Logitech blutooth gizmo that allows multiple pairing (one at a time) up to three devices. That is a cool feature. I work as a DBA, programmer, and yet have to stoop to my tiny iPhone to type on the screen.

I often have my laptop workhorse running multiple VM's on the desk with me for testing. Would be cool to combine all three together.

You know, I'm not one to complain, but I did back this and it would seem only couteous to respond once in a while to those of us that backed this project with our own cash and would like a little input. Come on, you posted that picture of you toasting champagne at the top of a mountain signing a $3m deal. I'm hard pressed for time too, but it takes two minutes to write a status report on the day, much like a diary. Last comment from you was 4 September, that's two months... I would hate to think that the $150k that we all invested was simply wasted because the project gained extra legs and expanded beyond belief after a $3m investment.

Keep it up Jason (and team). Media can write about all sorts of sh!t and can do so without factual information. I've only witnessed this quite recently and there's nothing else you can do except for just keep your head down, keep at it, and prove them wrong once you've delivered.

Given your updates are fair & reasonable (although could be more frequent and piccies ;) ) it's way better than the debacle @ some encrypted usb drive project on kickstarter. Those who have backed the project will know which one I'm talking about and it should have been mentioned on WSJ instead of this one.

Having said that, looking forward to the next update :D

Jason I'm very optimistic about this project and understand things fall behind but when I read an article in the Wall Street Journal that lists this as one of the worst kickstarter projects I become very discouraged.

Please find time to share more details and keep us in the loop as much as possible. Updates will help keep articles like this under control and in check.
