As we gear up for Friday's benefit show A Night of Dirty Looks at Splatterpool (free for all who pledged), we wanted to let you know that we are 71% funded, now, with $3,582 pledged! That is amazing! But in order to get the full amount, we still do need to reach our ultimate goal of $5,000 by Saturday, August 20th, 12:40 AM EST. We are excited to share the details of the print edition by Michael Robinson (a $250 pledge). We are offering an exclusive artwork from the internationally exhibited filmmaker, made especially for Dirty Looks. The image is a still from his award-winning recent film These Hammers Don't Hurt Us, 2010. Robinson describes the film as follows: Tired of underworld and overworld alike, Isis escourts her favorite son on their final curtain call down the Nile, leaving a neon wake of shattered tombs and sparkling sarcophagi.

The 11x14 print, titled These Hammers Don't Hurt Us (Skaters), 2011, depicts some intensely distorted Egyptian-tinged Ice-Capades footage. Considered one of the top-ten most important avant-garde filmmakers of the decade (by Film Comment), pledge now to for a beautiful work by this important voice.
