The Fastest is a sci-fi action series in which citizens of the small borough of Tran’s Port, find themselves moving and thinking at light speed after an accident affects random inhabitants in strange ways. 

OUR GOAL
To transform this into a web series and grow The Fastest campaign into a television series.  We've written character arcs for dozens of fleshed out characters but will be shooting one episode for a character that Chris developed and a character that Greg developed. 

We've also extensively developed the history of Tran's Port, its supporting characters, and what's to happen in the first several seasons.  Way too voluminous to list here so if you're interested contact us and we can give you a more fleshed out synopsis:

THE FASTEST: Speed Freak

Damian Quantus, a young club promoter is struck by lightning and is given the gift of hyper-accelerated speed and reflexes.  However, whenever he tries to use these new abilities for good he only winds up hurting the people he cares about.  Damian is approached by the covert Hermes Initiative, a mysterious group within the local Police Department with a similar skill set that can help Damian control his destiny if he doesn't burn himself out first.

THE FASTEST: Minds Racing

Remmy and Rommy are the smartest mammals on the earth.  The twin girls were born impossible geniuses but are also aging at a rapid pace.  Can they uncover the origins of their abilities before they die from hyper-accelerated mental and physical exertion at the age of five?

WHAT WE'VE DONE SO FAR
Thanks to the years of teaching and on-set experience by Chris and Greg, the shoot is fully scheduled.  No, it's not one of those "yes we have twenty pages for Sunday but we'll find a way to make it work" schedules.  It's an achievable, practical schedule that Greg and Chris stand by 110%.  The crew is in place and the roles have been cast.  We have all the equipment we need; taking advantage of the latest in RED, Sony, Panasonic and Go-Pro High-Definition camera technology.

WHAT WE NEED NEXT
Any filmmaker with experience will tell you that on any film the two most expensive budget items are food and transportation.  The money raised here will feed our fearless crew because without food there's no morale and without morale there's no movie. 

The money will also help our crew travel to various parts of New York City and beyond to realistically create the fictional sixth borough of Tran's Port.  Simply put: every dollar you spend will be seen on screen.  The money you invest in our film will not go towards processing fees or producer salaries, but will pay for someone to record professional quality sound, to have professional make up artists, to pay for actual locations opposed to redressed NYC apartments, and so forth and so on.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DON’T REACH OUR GOAL
If we don't reach our goal, we don't get anything.  Donors pledge the amounts, but don't actually pay until the goal is reached and the funding deadline has passed.  We want to avoid this so SPREAD.THE.WORD. Every dollar helps! When we meet our goal we will begin production as well as sending out investor packages.

Rupert Tran, our story’s precursor to the catalyst, was the most prominent globe trekking entrepreneur of the 21st century and fostered the spirit of commerce, travel, science, culture and technology pouring his nearly infinite resources into the creation of New York City's sixth borough, Tran’s Port.

Tran’s Port was created to be at the forefront of a new renaissance in the 21st century. Tran’s Port acts as a hub of information and commerce as people from around the world begin to take notice.

But upon Rupert Tran's disappearance and presumed demise, an initiative was activated to give the borough some hope of existing in his absence; refining and researching new technologies for the military in the “war against terror”.

One evening a fantastic event occurs: an impossibly big lightning storm hits the city and several people are struck by lighting.  Miraculously they survive and are blessed with the power of hyper-active speed, intelligence and reflexes. 

Some have used it for personal gain, others merely survival.  But all of them pique the interests of several parties that want the people and powers for themselves.

GREG AND CHRIS ARE, IN ESSENCE, BIG KIDS
Greg and Chris have worked together for nearly a decade on various webseries and online pilots, always with a professional ambition, tempered with a love for visual storytelling and informed by our infamous comic book knowledge and sensibility. But it is the faith in one another, that has maintained their professional relationship. 

A moment highlighting this faith, was when Greg and Chris showed up to Midtown Comics in New York at the midnight launch of DC's reboot of their universe several months ago.  Several times the long crowd was asked to disperse; the gathering of people waiting were told there weren't enough tickets, creators Geoff Johns and Jim Lee were leaving early, and that there wasn't enough capacity to receive everyone. 

Regardless, Greg and Chris’ gut told them otherwise and they endured the elements and long wait to get their copy of Flashpoint#5 and Justice League#1.  Chris and Greg have a love for comics that dates back to their childhood.  The Fastest is an homage to all of the wonderful elements that have inspired readers over the years as well as an attack on those elements that are a slap in the face to a fan (reboots, retcons, and retellings of stories).  Greg and Chris are, with The Fastest, tapping into the joy they got at kids opening up a comic book and the excitement of a non-traditional, drama.
