Update #1: Find The Warhols for love, not money
Wow, strange developments afoot in the Find The Warhols! Project. This week, Richard Weisman withdrew his $25 million insurance claim for the stolen Warhols, saying it wasn't worth the hassle. As a result, his insurance company withdrew their $1 million reward for the paintings' safe return. [For more details, check the greg.org post here.]
But while Weisman still has 30 Athletes paintings left, the rest of us will still be forced to wonder whether the Warhols coming across our transoms are stolen or not. So the FTW! posters are just as vitally necessary as they've always been.
Still, in the interest of accuracy, I think each FTW! poster will now be updated by hand before it goes out, to show the most accurate reward information: i.e., "$0 MILLION REWARD." Just as Thomas Kinkade magically transforms his posters into dazzling, original Works Of Art with the touch of his master's hand, each FTW! poster I alter will become a unique artifact [see simulation], not just a valuable crimefighting tool. Or I can leave it as is, and you can do it yourself. Just let me know.
