Mankind: A religion is a book about questioning Religion, Faith and and belief systems of today’s culture. Moreover it's about the way we question it. Why is man second in praise to deities when they have created and discovered Science, Chemistry, Architecture, Math, Medicine, Agriculture, Art, Music? Why should any deity whose existence is questionable, be given credit for anything man has done? Man standing on his own two feet has created this world we know, for better or for worse. It's ours and we should take credit for it.
This is a project i've wanted to do for a very long time. This is a subject that i am very passionate about and enjoy debating with others. I hope to inspire and educate and stir the pot of debate.
Research is complete and writing has started
$12,000.00 is the goal of this project. I believe it will take that to properly release this book. This will be my first official commercial book so i have high hopes and would like your help to fund it. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I'm going to try and cover as much as possible here in the project, but if miss something please let me know.
Where is the funding going?
It's going to cost between $1500 to $6000 to have this book edited by a contract freelance editor.
Since i am self publishing this book i am going with a fairly aggressive marketing campaign. I would also like to use lulu for marketing. There beginning Marketing plan starts at $2900.00.
ISBN and barcodes Will be needed for different versions of the book. I do plan on some retail sales of the book. Being listed with ingram will require the ISBN and barcodes.
Cover art and Various artwork needed for promotional material. There will be several versions of the cover of this book for the different rewards offered.
There is a minimum order when ordering books also the lulu marketing plan will need 20 books.
If the project exceeds its funding most of the funds will go to marketing. The next level of marketing at lulu is $4760.00 and then $9473.00.
If we can Reach $22,000.00 the project can move to the next level of marketing.
At $35,000.00 the project can reach the highest marketing campaign that lulu offers.
