Update #3: 12 songs recorded!!!

Posted on August 17, 2011

 Hola,

The Musical Art Quintet has successfully finished recording the 12 songs for Nuevo Chamber. We have had a great time tracking at Granada Studios with Anthony, Jory, Charith, Shain and Myself, with special appearances by Phillip Brezina and Adam Scow. I am in the process of mixing the album now. We have our CD release party set for Monday, October 3rd at Yoshi's SF.

Nicole Schach will be painting our portrait for the album cover at a live concert Sunday at her studio, Bazaar Gilman in Berkeley Sunday August 28th at 2pm. If you are in the area, please come by and say hi.

We also have a special event: "Tumbao con Cuerdas" on Thursday, August 25 at BeatBox in SF. Anthony y Su Charanga will perform as well as the Quintet and La Gente, a Latino Hip-Hop group led by Rafael Sierra of the Red Poppy Art House.

We could not have gotten this far without your support, thank you so much! You will be the first to get the CD when it is done.

Musically Yours,

Sascha

Update #2: Classical Revolution update

Posted on June 21, 2011

Happy Summer Solstice!

I wanted to let all of you know the status of the Musical Art Quintet recording and the Classical Revolution Records:

After a brief hiatus to welcome to the world my daughter Kaia Luna, we are back to work. I will be recording today and all this week with Anthony Blea and Jory Fankuchen. Much of the work has been done but there is more to do.

We have been looking at different artists to create to album cover, if you have any recommendations, please send them.

The release is now projected for early August. Thank you so much for your support on this venture, and you will be the first ones to have the album when it is done. I will try to send some sneak peak MP3's as they become available.

Thank you again and enjoy your summer!

Ciao,

Sascha
