Update #8: WE DID IT!!!
This Kickstarter campaign raised over $14,000 for The Hinter Haus.

for supporting independent music & the dreams of one little
harpist/singer-songwriter.
I am so full of gratitude for each & every one of the 179 incredibly generous backers who pledged to bring this project into the world. Feeling very infinite & small tonight. What an amazing journey this has been!
Tomorrow morning, I catch an early plane bound for Bogota, marking the start of another adventure as I tour with the ESL Folk Project through Colombia, Peru, & Ecuador. Keep an eye on my blog over at www.gilliangrassie.com for updates from my travels abroad. I'll be posting more updates through Kickstarter to keep you abreast of the album's progress over the next few months. I think that by the end of all this, we will have created together something very fine indeed.
But for now, it's time to finally exhale. And perhaps have a glass of wine on the front door steps. And maybe write a new song.

I'm flying out to Bogota tomorrow with the ESL Folk Project to do a month-long tour in South America, but I wanted to thank the gaming community for all their support & enthusiasm over the morrowind theme. Gillian Grassie is an independent harpist/singer-songwriter who plays folk/pop with jazz sensibilities. Of her live performance, Grammy-winner Marc Cohn has said, “It is rare to hear a young singer with such control and understated soulfulness, and even more rare to hear a harp provide such a deep percussive groove. I was immediately captivated by her sound.” Her song "Silken String” finished second in the 2008 New York Song Circle competition and has since been picked up by triple-A radio stations nationally. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 2009 with a degree in Comparative Literature and has received grants from the Thomas J. Watson Foundation & The U.S. State Department.
