About this project
The Peace Speaker is a 12 foot tall wooden peace sign and speaker cabinet containing a total of twelve, 12 inch speakers. Its modular design allows for easy assemblage and transport for the ultimate purpose of inspired amplified performance in natural spaces such as forests, beaches, cliffs, canyons and caves. Upon completion, I will embark on a twelve concert, West Coast tour, entitled "The 2012 'Til Infinity Anti-Apocalypse Tour."
These FREE Peace Speaker concerts will essentially be intimate festivals, set in beautiful remote areas where concerts have never been held. They will include musical performances by bands, sound installations by artists, dance party DJ sets and more. They will be instantly fun, temporarily euphoric and leave long-lasting impressions of positivity with all who attend. The twelfth and final concert will take place on December 21, 2012, as a playful celebration of this milestone in human history.
The funds raised on Kickstarter will finance the completion of The Peace Speaker ($2,000) and be used to purchase a mobile power source to provide electricity for the concerts ($2,000) as well as a 12 foot secure covered trailer ($2,000) to transport The Peace Speaker and other necessary equipment. My $6,000 goal is the bare minimum I need to launch the tour. If I don't meet that goal, then I receive no funding at all. However, once I reach my goal, any additional funds I receive will support The 2012 'Til Infinity Anti-Apocalypse Tour.
Quite simply- the more money I raise, the farther I can go!
