About this project
Jenefer Siân is an unsigned pop artist that has the voice and the look. But being an unsigned artist, what she doesn't have is the hefty financial backing to fully realize her vision. With the help of friends and family Jenefer has been able to create and release her first single "Take a Number," and by the time we're ready to shoot this music video, the second single and EP will also have been released.
The video will be for a song called "Call You Out" produced and written by Matt Sirrine (http://MattSirrineMusic.com), Marga Lane (http://myspace.com/margalane) and Jenefer. The song deals with issues of trust, betrayal, and deceit. In Jenefer's own words "It's about being fake and being a hypocrite. People who have no clue that they are doing the same things that they speak negatively about other people for doing. I'm going to let them know I'm on to them, but have also washed my hands of them." Musically the track is a tough, trunk rattling, synth and electric guitar driven beast, sure to make you want to dance... or maybe get in a fight.
Alan Wain approached Jenefer with a treatment for the video that involves raw, abstract performance footage with plenty of smoke, lasers, film burns, and other post production tricks along with a story glamorously shot to turn an already idyllic summer day into a postcard. Alan believes in Jenefer and the song so much that he has offered to direct this music video for next to nothing. His past work as a producer and editor, working with artists such as Michael Jackson, Sting, Carly Simon, and many others has lead him to the directing position and we're confident this music video will be nothing short of amazing provided we have sufficient resources to complete the vision.
The video will be shot sometime in September, 2010. We are currently in the process of scouting and locking down various locations for the shoot. Three basic locations are needed, a large home with a beautiful pool area, the home's interior (living room, front entry areas), and a large "lived in" bedroom. An exotic car is also needed for some shots. We are hoping that through friends and family we will be able to secure these locations, including the exotic vehicle for free, or as close as we can get to it.
How will we spend the money?
This is where you come in. Alan has a couple of crew members that will be needed the day of the shoot. Unfortunately, not everyone can work for free and your pledge money will go to paying these crew members for their work with lighting, set dressing, and the multitude of other tasks they will be performing.
Your pledge money will also go to covering the cost of a state of the art camera to create some shots that will be absolutely stunning and will really bring the video to life. These are the subtle, yet crucial parts to making this video a success!

You'll also be able to earn an Associate or Executive Producer credit for the video, or a multitude of other cool gifts, like free downloads, signed posters, photos, a skateboard deck, skype chat with Jenefer, and even sushi dinner or a trip to Disneyland!
Our $1,000 goal will cover the cost of the crew and needed gear. Anything extra may go to cover any costs dealing with exotic car rental, location fees, and/or making sure everyone gets something to eat the day of the shoot. You won't be charged a thing until the end date (September 1st, 2010) of this project and only if the $1,000 goal has been met. If we don't reach $1,000, we get $0, you are charged nothing and the video may not happen at all. Even if you can only spare $1, that $1 will be put to great use and be greatly appreciated.
