I'm fascinated by the fuzzy intersection of offline and online experiences. My days are spent explaining to people what live, collaborative multi-streaming is, and how they can use it. I created Webster Hall Digital, did some wild video installations and got to see amazing concerts. I developed Event Horizons, a gathering that explored how video, social tools and mobile technologies are integrated into live events.
I usually hide the fact that I'm a lawyer, but never hide the fact that I play in a Beatles tribute band (I'm Billy Preston). Three times now, I have performed the entire canon of 185 songs -- in succession. In case you're wondering, it takes about 14 hours.

Hey Brian, I will be in ny next week for the anniversary o 9/11 and I'm wondering what's going on with the launch party.
Thank you Matthew. Please consider coming to my launch event next week. Would love to see you! Brian.
Brian, met you a few weeks back at the Todd Stone show at 7 WTC. I am happy, and very excited that you reached your goal, and that it is progressing so rapidly into such an awesome realization. I look forward to hearing more, and to using the APP! Also, you do the Towers proud, as well as all us New Yorkers that will miss their iconic image. It also acts as a rememberance to not only the Towers, but to all those who perished that day working in the Towers. Thank you.
You did a wonderful job on this project. Love You, Mom

Hey Brian, very cool project. When I was a kid I went to the top of the towers (forget which), and it was the highlight of my trip. Like some of the other commenters, I really hope you develop an app for Android! Thanks, and good luck!
Someone suggested you set up a face book page for this with a link so all you face book friends get it and they send it to thier friends.
Living outside of San Francisco now, lived in Manhattan during the attacks. I can't tell you how happy it will make me feel to lift my phone into the NY sky and see the towers again. Thank you Brian, I was honored to donate.
I'm proud to back this project and just wish I could give more....The Towers were a huge part of my early life (I was 16 when the attacks occurred) and it felt like I'd lost a friend, not to mention a few neighbors. This especially resonated with me because I remember the first time I drove on the BQE past Lower Manhattan, and I didn't see them....Without even thinking I blurted out "My God, there's a hole in the sky." Now, at least in our mind's eye, the hole can be filled again. Wonderful idea.
I wish you all good luck with this project! If it makes it through, I hope to see an Android App coming in the near future.
I wish I was closer to NYC during the school year, as that would have been a fun project to do for my Android App class "/
Brian, This is a great project. I just wish I could contribute more. I am not a New Yorker but it is kind of like a 3rd home for me. I miss it every time I am there. Thanks for taking this project on. It will be greatly appreciated
Good luck, Brian. Your video was very compelling. I stop and look at phantom views (my own AR) from time to time.
If you complete the iOS, please consider Android.
"My bedroom view was of the Manhattan skyline. My daughter was 4 when the attacks occurred. Every night before we went to sleep we said goodnight to the Twin Towers. We would have much more fun on foggy nights when they seemed to disappear and I would accuse my daughter of stealing them. Whenever I visit my mom who lives next door to my old apt, I look out the window and know that something's missing." -- Alexandra Maertens

"This is a great project and will be very emotional for all of us who lived through 9-11" -- Igor Levit, 110 Stories Backer
I'm a New Yorker but I've spent most of my life in Australia. So when I came across KickStarter, your project just stood out. For me, the most iconic image of home was always from the Staten Island Ferry as she approached the Manhattan terminal, WTC looming large. I have seen a photo (maybe it's yours) of a hand holding a transparency with an outline of the WTC and of course remember seeing the lights from Newark as I returned to NYC - each an ephemeral and ghostly reminder. Being a New Yorker and a Jew, I have a strong sense of of place and history and so your project moves me. There may be a time when we will learn to forgive, but we should never forget what was done to our city and the people we lost. Your project is a great way (and a very cool way) to do that". -- Bernard Kornfeld, 110 Stories Backer
"I first visited NYC only a few years ago and became totally enamored of the place, it felt oddly familiar, I'm not sure why. Now I try to get back to visit whenever I can. Being able to see the skyline as it once was seems like an incredible way to remember those who lost their lives. I can think of few better uses of AR. Wish I'd thought of it." -- IanC, 110 Stories backer
