We never knew that there was such an easy way to share with our families, friends, and fans a specific project need, request supporters to partner with us, and then accomplish an incredible goal together. Kickstarter has provided groups like ours with an amazing platform to not only accomplish a specific goal, but also to introduce Shiloh to those who do not know us yet. We believe that this is going to be a fun way for us to include EVERYONE in the process of Shiloh's next full-length recording.

Here is the scoop, and how we need your help . Shiloh has set up this program to meet our goal in only 30 DAYS. You might be asking this question: WHY ARE WE DOING THIS AND WHY $20K?

Well, we are so glad you asked. Shiloh is stepping out of our comfort zone and seeing how far we can go to reach people through music. The amazing thing is that we have already seen His hand opening each and every door throughout this entire process. We want to put 110% of our hearts, 110% of our passion, and 110% of our effort into this new recording. We can promise this to you: this recording will be unlike any other Shiloh recording.

Shiloh is an independent artist, and that means that we are not financially backed or represented by a label. We are totally on our own. Today, major labels typically spend around $200,000 merely recording the album-- we are working to accomplish this on just 25% of that amount. However, this 25% DOES NOT include the cost associated with CD artwork, photography, packaging, and duplication. (Trust me, indie artists know how to make the most of budget restrictions.)

$20K may seem like a hefty chunk of change...and it is! However, if everyone gives a little, we can easily reach our goal and beyond. To be honest, this is really JUST ENOUGH to make the kind of album that Shiloh needs and that will allow exposure on ANY level in today's Christian music. Here is the good news. Shiloh has already saved nearly 50% of the total project expense, and now we only need to reach the remaining $20K.

WHAT WILL MAKE THIS RECORDING DIFFERENT?

Although there are a number of factors that we are changing in regards to the project, it all truly starts with songs and production. Last May, we were presented with the opportunity to work with producer/songwriter Don Koch. You may not know the name, but you will recognize his work. Since the early ‘90s, Don has produced records for every major Christian record label with and has blessed with great success. He has won Dove Awards for Inspirational Record of the Year two years in a row. He has worked with such Christian artists as Phillips Craig & Dean, 4Him, Bob Carlisle, Larnelle Harris, Fred Hammond, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Charles Billingsley, and Greg Long. As a songwriter, his songs have been recorded by artists such as Brian Littrell (The Backstreet Boys), Donnie Osmond, Avalon, Phillips Craig and Dean, Jump 5, Craig Morgan, and Charles Billingsley. He has won Dove awards for Song of the Year (once) and Inspirational Song of the Year (three times). He also has had 38 number one songs (i.e. In Christ Alone, Crucified With Christ, Will You Be The One, Mercy Said No, and Adonai, along with many others) in the CCM market. When producing an album for an artist, Don is a perfectionist and only brings in A-level musicians ( including the Prague Symphony Orchestra). Our hopes are that with your help we will have enough funding to make this happen and to allow them enough time to do their best work on Shiloh's project. There is something magical and really powerful that happens when assembling a team of people who are at the top of game and creating something BIG together.

WHAT'S THE RECORD GOING TO BE LIKE?

Well, we are still extremely focused on producing music that impacts and changes lives, and that will never change. We are so excited about the opportunity to capture a new level of energy in the studio that hasn't really been featured on previous records. The musicianship and the orchestrations will be powerful. The songs included on this recording will truly be from Shiloh’s heart. Let us share a few lines from a couple of the songs, and you will get the overall feeling of our hearts… “Because I know where my strength comes from” “In moments of my weakest days, Your strength becomes my only way” “Every knee will bow to You” “There is only one worthy of our praise” “It’s my passion to be healing for the hurting, an answer for the searching, to comfort those in need.” “In my waiting, in my wanting, I find You there.” “Forever we are grateful” “I Will follow where You lead, as long as You’re glorified”

WHY ASK FANS TO HELP PAY FOR IT?

For Shiloh, this project allows our fans to step into the process with us, and creates a platform for them to say "This is the music we like. We want to hear more of it--AND, we want other people to hear it as well. So we're going to help." If people ARE fans of our music, it probably means that they heard us live, or heard about it from their friends over the years, or have done some musical digging online to find a healthy alternative to the generic stuff that often gets pumped through the radio. This project is an opportunity to directly support the music out there that you actually want to hear out there and creates a way for artist and fan to truly be a part of each other's stories.

Plus, when we reach our objective of $20K, any additional pledges will go into the production of the CD project (CD artwork, photography, duplication, and packaging), as well as plans for professional TV ready videos!

WHEN IS THE RECORD COMING OUT?

We are shooting to release the record EARLY THIS SUMMER (2011). Once it's done, there won't be any waiting around for a long build up---this Kickstarter project IS the build up, and we feel like we owe it to the contributors of the project to release it as soon as it's done.
