Set during WWII, this B&W comic tells the journey of an elite team brawling their way through Nazis, aliens, the undead & ancient gods.
What is this story about
The Calamitous Black Devils is set during World War II and follows the exploits of an elite brigade of Army operatives—the Black Devils. The team is composed of mostly American and Canadian soldiers, joined by MI-6 and the Russian Night Witches. Their mission is to stop a top secret Nazi plot to harness a multidimensional gateway that will allow an Ancient One, Anan-Zaha, to cross over into our world. But while battling the Nazi forces, the team is pulled into another world against their will. They must fight their way through a universe at war, trying to make their way back home.

Where the money goes
I need your help for the printing of the first super-sized 36 page issue. My end goal is to generate enough interest (and money) to continue to print the first 6-issue story arc. But in order to do this, I have to put the comic book in the hands of comic book readers. Because I am doing the writing and illustration myself, I am doing it at cost. Additional money is needed for taxes, fees and incentive costs. This book will be presented in black and white with color covers. The first issue is written and story boarded and will be ready to print in October in time for the Coast City Comic Con here in Maine this November. Any additional monies gained during this Kickstarter event will go towards the printing of future issues.
How it works
You pledge an amount towards our goal by clicking either the "Back This Project" button or one of the Pledge levels in the column on the right. All pledges are processed through Amazon.com. If I reach my goal within the 30 day time period, then you will be charged your pledge amount and receive the reward you selected. Of course, your donations are completely secure and your cards will only be charged when I meet my funding goal. If I fall short of this goal, you will be charged nothing.
Rewards!
Any donation will get you an award. For a $4 contribution you will receive PDF's of concept art via email. For $25 dollar rewards will get you limited edition prints and for $150 you will get a character based on your likeness in the first issue. So check them all out! There is an award to fit every budget.
