About this project
The goal of this kickstarter project is to get the record "portugal" mastered and physically pressed. For those of you who don't know what mastering is, it is a process by which an audio engineer takes all the songs that were recorded in different ways and evens out the levels, balances the eq a touch more and generally makes things a touch more punchy and bigger sonically speaking.
While "portugal" has been out since February on my bandcamp site I would like to be able to press the CD so that I have physical copies of it when I go on tour in the fall.
All the money raised from this project will be just enough to cover both of these expenses.
If we're playing optimistic and more then enough is raised for the project there are several other expenses such as a re-pressing of "girl" that additional funds would go to.
the bottom line is, trust me, I'm a professional starving artist, every little bit is going to be delegated to something. I will not get the money cashed and bath in a pool of gold coins ala Scrooge McDuck.

Joshua Jesty is a professional starving artist based out of Cleveland Ohio. He has been making music that people have been writing nice things about since 1998's "more songs about the reproductive cycle" record with his Boston based band Love Scream, he had a sketch comedy troupe called "the feel bads", and played in Cleveland's own "this is exploding".
now a days he dances salsa, kicks doctors, and makes tons of pop and un-pop music. He will be touring solo in the Fall and continues to work on current solo records as well as his other band "These Violent Young Lovers" with Melissa Beminio. His latest release is "portugal". He lives with no regrets and his rabbit hazel in a physical house.
