Update #3: Plan B
Thank you SO much to the 41 people who backed the FEAST LA project, successful funding or not, we greatly appreciate that you honored us with supporting our vision. And just so you know, we aren't giving up! We're going to regroup this week, figure out an alternative strategy for raising the funds we need, and go forward with our plans to bring feasting philanthropically to LA. If you want to keep in touch, and find out what's going on with us, send an e-mail to dawna (at) feastla.org to be added to our mailing list. We'd love to hear from you, and hope to be FEAST-ing with you soon.
Update #2: one week left...
To all 23 of you- big hugs and kisses for getting us this far--your support means the world to us! We're still confident that in the short time remaining, others will join you and FEAST LA will begin granting artists next month.
Also- for those of you who've given at the $100 level, we had planned to get the chefs together and do a wonderful dinner in a cool gallery space, but AFTER we launched the Kickstarter campaign we had an amazing offer...the chef from Canele in Atwater Village offered to sponsor the the Founder's dinner on a Monday evening, when the restaurant is normally closed. So, you extraordinarily generous souls are really going to be treated to an experience that lots of LA foodies would be very jealous of!
We're ever so grateful you've backed us, and we'd be thrilled and even more grateful if you'd tell everyone you can think of about the project so that we meet our goal in the next 8 days. Thanks again!

To those of you who've started us off, we send our enthusiastic appreciation! If you haven't yet had a project on kickstarter, you may not realize what a thrill it is every time someone becomes a backer- but seriously, it's cause for a little gasp of joy each time! So- thanks very much, we're so grateful to you and looking forward to sending you rewards at the end of our successful campaign.
We'll also be updating you here soon about what's going on with FEAST, maybe even giving a sneak peak at some of the artist project proposals we're receiving, so stay with us!

You're not gonna believe this one, we know...but here it is: in addition to everything else, you will be the lucky recipient of a private concert by 40 oz to Freedom- the most popular and successful Sublime Tribute band in the US (and yes, there is more than one!) The band will come to your home, or other location that you provide, and treat you and whomever you choose to a show. In addition, if the band comes to your neck of the woods on their regular tour, you'll be their special VIP guests for the show. And, not only will your name be mentioned in the aforementioned thank you video--we will make sure that it appears on our permanent banner, at every FEAST LA event forevermore.
